Absolutely never get this insurance. I've been battling for over 6 months to get them to pay more than one claim they denied and admitted on the phone that it was a mistake. Customer service says..."oh we got it taken care of i'm so sorry" and then I get a collection notice a couple of weeks later.

United Healthcare is a bunch of con artists. They feed you false information and then try to capitalize on it in the end. They told me that I wasn't allowed to cancel my insurance when my husband got insurance because I missed a "window" and then I found out six months later that they don't even have a window on dropping insurance coverage. They refuse to reimburse my money which was roughly around $1500 paid since then.

Excellent coverage and claims processing. I have had hip replacement surgery (12/08), and coverage was exactly as described. Claims processing was painless. We really like United and are glad we have them as our health insuer!

worst nightmare, denied more claims than I can count.Say it pays for coverage,afterwards denies to pay. Our own dentist does not want to deal with united healthcare. Well we have contacted Michael Moore here in Michigan :) Soon we will have a new president,so deny payments and coverage won;t exist anymore.

The customer support I received from your company was awful. Your employees were quite possibly the most unhelpful cs reps I have ever dealt with. Evidently Jesus has been resurrected in the form of all of your employees are incapable of making mistakes (and no doubt walk on water). Despite divine lineage, they do need to brush up on what customer service entails, namely helping the customer. There was a point in my life where I blamed someone else for mistakes that I made, however, I soon reached the age of 10 or so and started to accept responsibility for my actions. Obviously, your rigorous pre-hire screening was unable to weed out those that never reached that point, seeing as every person I spoke with in your company approached my problem with this same attitude. In dealing with your employees, I was once again reminded of a child, one who hears something they don't like, puts their fingers in their ears and screams LALALALALALALA.

I have been dealing with a claims issue over the past 4 months. I have not received a reply regarding the claim. When I last called I was told that the information faxed to the claims department was never placed in my file. I am still waiting for a reply. They have also made mistakes on our coverage which we have been dealing with for the past 3 months. They do not have us in the system but they have been taking our payments. After dealing with the Resolution department, we were told that a mistake was made with entering out information into their system. For the third time I have to call the Doctors, Labs etc and explain the situation. I am going with a different insurance company.
