worst nightmare, denied more claims than I can count.Say it pays for coverage,afterwards denies to pay. Our own dentist does not want to deal with united healthcare. Well we have contacted Michael Moore here in Michigan :) Soon we will have a new president,so deny payments and coverage won;t exist anymore.

The customer support I received from your company was awful. Your employees were quite possibly the most unhelpful cs reps I have ever dealt with. Evidently Jesus has been resurrected in the form of all of your employees are incapable of making mistakes (and no doubt walk on water). Despite divine lineage, they do need to brush up on what customer service entails, namely helping the customer. There was a point in my life where I blamed someone else for mistakes that I made, however, I soon reached the age of 10 or so and started to accept responsibility for my actions. Obviously, your rigorous pre-hire screening was unable to weed out those that never reached that point, seeing as every person I spoke with in your company approached my problem with this same attitude. In dealing with your employees, I was once again reminded of a child, one who hears something they don't like, puts their fingers in their ears and screams LALALALALALALA.

I have been dealing with a claims issue over the past 4 months. I have not received a reply regarding the claim. When I last called I was told that the information faxed to the claims department was never placed in my file. I am still waiting for a reply. They have also made mistakes on our coverage which we have been dealing with for the past 3 months. They do not have us in the system but they have been taking our payments. After dealing with the Resolution department, we were told that a mistake was made with entering out information into their system. For the third time I have to call the Doctors, Labs etc and explain the situation. I am going with a different insurance company.

I have wondered what I would have done without a policy with United health care. Meeting the health care needs of my employees was always a head ache. There with United health care, I managed to save up to 25%. The most important thing that surprised me here was, even with an extra saving, I was able to enjoy quality service. Cost reduced, but coverage remained high. This was the one I was searching for a long time.

They are undoubtedly the WORST insurance company. Regretfully, I am insured under them through my employer. They do everything they can to deny the claims and stall paying. I also have to work with them as a professional provider. They are slow to make contracted payments (to the point we had to sue to get our money), transfer you multiple times because it is a different department that has to handle your question only to wind up back at the place you started an hour later. My recommendation is if you can avoid using them, do so

I was stuck with them, my employer switched over to them and then I lost my job and wnet on COBRA. The worst cusotmer service ever, any where. I had trouble getting them to recognize my account and hence they continually denied my claims. I made at least 20 calls and an equal number of emails; their customer service people gave me a different story every time. Some of their people were down right rude. I know people who have dropped them and bought their own insurance just to not have to deal with them. I did get my issue resolved by filing a complaint with our state consumer complaint department who intervened for me. In terms of coverage, they are very quirky and their literature does not spell things it out clearly enough. I ended up stuck with bills because of this. If I had a choice, I would never buy insurance from them. Just a terrible company to deal with.

from my experince with united health care it see that the acctul covage is not that bad it covers most expences nessary for the avage family. the benfits i belive are fairly resonable for a health care plan and for most of there plans you are not required to call in variy often to get referals or notifations for procedure, which makes it more covenit for the member and the providers(doctors and health care faclitys). however for family that have major claims or health issues, or have other issucance, ex: medicare, it can be a hassle to get all the claims and the correct inforamtion strated out. most of the time when you call in for information, unless you get someone in traing you can get just about all the information you need in one call, but because of information being held in diffent departments, such as pharmcy information and behavieral health, it can take 3 or 4 time of being tranfered back and fouth before you get the information you need. and because united health care contacts with other companys for services it can take any where from 72 hours to 15 bus days if not longer just to get a date of brith change in the others companys system while your left puchashing items out of pocket untill it gets updated.

They employ doctor's who dictate to the care provider who are not familiar with the specific treatments being given. Customer Service is horrid, every person you talk to gives a differant story, they loose paperwork, and delay any decisions for care until the last possible moment.
