I will NEVER DEAL WITH TRAVELERS AGAIN and doing searches online have found many that had problems once claims came into view. My home was broken into with A LOT OF THINGS TAKEN, lot of big items including electronics so it is a high claim and there was damage to the home. This was back in 09/07 of this year and it will be three months to date when this horrible thing happened to my family and I have not received a penny from Travelers. They have been giving me the run around. The claims handler I delt with was horrible, witch from hell. Then the investigator that I ended up having to meet with a total of three times to answer questions I already answered before, very annoying. Made my husband and myself feel like victims all over again. No sympathy or anything at all. The investigator which i found out is an ex cop, already figured by the way he talks and treated myself in interviews was horrible. The last meeting which was just last week he wanted to meet with my husband and myself and then at the last minute wanted to talk with us seperatly saying could my husband come meet him down the road for the interview. I mean what the hell - are we being questioned for a murder or some illegal doing. He ongoingly repeated questions to my husband and he got fed up AND THEN DOWN RIGHT EVEN LIED TO HIM. Tried to tell him that in the interview with me beforehand that day that I showed him the set of golf clubs that were stolen and were my husbands which I did no such thing. Even asked who my husnand golfs with and a name and number. Also when questioning me said well this list of clubs here we have a problem they weren't even available at the time you said your husband bought them. I told him i don't know much about golf items and I didn't. When my husband and I talked about the interview together afterwards and compared how this man mad up lies about things to try to get us to lie was rediculous! He said to my husband you didn't even have any golf clubs did you, the reply was yes I did and the list I gave you of my clubs have been avaialbe for the last 2 years as they were an 06 model, crock of crap, so another lie he said trying to get something out of us that isn't there! I felt like these people looked at us like we did something wrong. Never did I get a sorry what your going through we will speed this along they just don't want to part with their money. But sure do take payments from people on time! They are a big joke. I even a tried to call the supervisor for the Naperville IL office as I was told and he never called me back until i got fed up and filed a complaint with the state of IN and a BBB with the chicago area they are in, then I got a call like in 2 days from him and now he is responding to me. if you want to get treated like you are the bad guy because a bunch of losers came in and took and destroyed your items scarring to death you kids, my 16 year old is still scared about it all go with this sucky company. I will spread this word forever with everyone. I work at the biggest local hospital in town with doc, nurses ect and when they all ask about the claim I fill them in about the way we have been treated by Travelers - in this area by myself and I am sure they will tell others if someone is thinking on going with them also, A SUPER BAD NAME. They are just starting to migrate around here and trying to build more clientle here in Indiana and I will adamantly tell everyone about this experience including on the NET. Supposedly after this third interview where this guy just made us feel like we did something wrong I was told things should go quickly from here on now, I won't hold my breath waiting for that one! Also can't wait to see what lowball price they try to throw at us for a settlement - bet it's going be crap and I will have to haggle with that one too. THEY ARE JUST THE DEVIL - do not use them even if they have a low price, you will regret it when any claim filing strikes! |
