My house burnt to the ground on May 4th, I have been waiting patiently since then for payment. Today's date is 8/5/2008. They said they require a lie detector test, I have offered to take one, but the officer said there is a backlog. The fire investigator said the lie decector has no bearing on the insurance paying. Any time I have ever had a claim (every car I have driven has been hit), the claim is dealt with quickly and painlessly. My cars have always been repaired completely and to my satisfaction and I have never had trouble dealing with the insurance company.

I went with Farmers because their rates were better and then I found out why. They are terrible in everyway. I should have stayed with State Farm, even though they were a bit more expensive they were so much better in every way.

I had a collectible auto and was trying to get an insurance policy for that. It was not that easy as I thought because it was not a standard vehicle. Then I came across Farmers auto insurance policies and found that they were ready to insure my Classics. Now I have no more tension to protect my antique car which my grandfather owed me. Their specialty insurance is a boon for people like me who owns collectible autos. If you want a policy from farmers you can approach the local farmer’s agents who are ready to help you.

The rates are great in the beginning then you renew and all the discounts go away and your rates sky rocket. They count on the fact that you won't switch again and you lost the good customer discount from your old company so you have no where to go. Very deceptive and not friendly at all.

DON'T GO WITH FARMERS!!! THE AGENT IN GREN, OHIO HAS THE BIGGEST GROUP OF BOZOS I'VE EVER ENCOUNTERED.HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE AND THEY RAISED MY RATES AFTER 6 MONTHS WITH NO NOTIFICATION AND I HAD NO CALIMS.IAM CANCELLING AND WILL NEVER DEAL WITH THEM AGAIN.

I am very dissatisfied with Farmers Insurance. I was hit by a speeding truck in a parking lot. Both sides have Farmers Insurance, and when I filed a claim, the insurance company said it was my fault, although I am 100% positive that I was in the right. The insurance company does not want to pay for my damages, since my car is in much worse shape than the truck, so they want me to pay fot the damages on the truck, even though it hit me and was obviously at fault. This has been a very bad experience with Farmers.

My experience with Farmers has been very positive. Recently my refrigerator broke down and Farmers paid for all the food that was lost. The claim went very smoothly. My agent is the Best!
