What a shame that people would not use this site as it was intended... to help the public make an important decision based on valid information. Well let me be the first. I recently took a policy with Assurant after a friend of mine took one out. WHile I have not had the opportunity to use my policy, or should I say, that I have been blessed to not have a need to use it, I can say that my neighbor had a fantastic experience with them. After suffering an accidental injury that yielded over $12k in medical bills my friend only paid $100 out of his pocket because these policies have some sort of special accident coverage where the person who has the policy only pays $100 regardless of what the bill actually was for an accident.
