Wells Fargo offers Aussurant protection insurance to its cardholders. Since the day I openeded up a credit card and cash advances with Wells Fargo, I have paid for Assurant extetended protection coverage in casse of sickness and loss of work. This started in 2006. In april 2008, I became very ill. I could not work and as of today, still have been unable to return to the work force. I contacted Wells Fargo. They gave me the Assurant phone number which only gave me info for the website. I was harrassed by Wells Fargo on a continuous 7 day non-stop cycle. In August Wells Fargo told me I had to file a hardship claim with them and that would lower my interest for 5 months and cut my payments in half. In the meantime, I kept trying to get up with Assurant. Finally, with the collaboration of a wells Fargo rep doing a three-way and waiting patiently with me on the phone for an extended amount of time, an Assurant rep answered the phone. Wells Fargo explained to her my situation and she said Assurant would make their payments to Wells Fargo retroactive from the date of my illness. The Wells Fargo rep told her I indeed had coverage and it has never elasped. To make a long story short, that was 2 1/2 months ago (March,'09'). Assurrant still has not paid the claim and I am constantly being harrassed by Wells Fargo every single day, (weekends included from 7am until 10 pm eastern time) Assurant took money from me on a monthly basis, but refuses to acknowledge my claim. You pay for their services, but they don't deliver!!! They could be the only insurance co. on the face of the earth and i would NEVER UTILIZE THEM!!! |
