Summary
I am shocked and appalled at Aetna's cost and how they decline needed surgeries to get out of paying for them. I would not recommend Aetna at all. It is a money pit that will let you down in an emergency. they also have not come through with a medical disabiltiy claim that I am entitled even though the state has approved and is paying. It's really sad to pay so much into insurance policies for so long and then they deny to pay claims and approve treatment.

Summary
Seriously, Aetna is a terrible company! I'm in the middle of trying to get several claims reprocessed right now and it is a NIGHTMARE! They've given me the runaround for almost 4 months and one of my bills has already gone to medical collections because they have stalled on paying out what they owe for so long. They repeatedly claim "never receiving" paperwork and no one you speak with seems to be able to help you. They are the ultimate "pass the buck to someone else" company. I've even caught their customer service reps LYING to me. The most frustrating experience I've ever had in terms of health care. Aetna is ruining my LIFE and my CREDIT!

Summary
They limit In-Network physicians in your area, deny your medical bills, change your prescriptions without your consent, and rob you blind of your monthly premiums. THIS INSURANCE COMPANY WILL DENY YOUR MEDICAL CLAIMS AND NOT PAY YOUR PHYSICIANS. Although your office visit copays are inexpensive, Aetna won't pay your physician's bill and the physician will in turn send you the bill due to Aetna's complicated and twisted billing/claim processing method. Many physicians give up from resubmitting repeatedly for payment and just send YOU the bill for an office visit which can easily reach beyond $500 for your kid's immunizations. Dirt-poor customer service tells you that this company is being run like a mob.

I feel proud to be associated with Aetna which is the national leader in life insurance. I feel secure since the day I joined Aetna. Now I find it useful to get all related health information which helps me to take decision concerning which doctor should I approach. Whenever I want to get financial information regarding the policy, I can easily login to the account with my Login Id. All this makes me feel cool and comfort as different from my earlier anxieties regarding my health security. Now I am protected with Aetna and no more worried to haunt me.

Summary
Along with Bank of America, Aetna has introduced a healthy living credit card for its medical, dental, clinical and pharmacy members. Being aware of the customer’s requirements of urgent need of expenses on health, Aetna took this step. Introduction of health care credit card itself tells the customer oriented service of the Aetna bank. It avoids the instant medical expenses to be paid by customers in cash and also promote healthy living among the people.

Summary
Aetna Rx Home-Delivery Pharmacy I was a former insurance claims administrator before my retirement in 2003. I have dealt with many insurance companies over the years; however, none have been as incompetent as Aetna Rx Home-Delivery program. Individual representatives have been cordial, but do not expect a call-back to your problem and certainly do not expect a resolution. I have been dealing with a crucial situation for over a month and have been stonewalled at every turn. I don't think the problem just lies with incompetent employees. I think management is equally guilty. Their legal department exists in name only.

Summary
RE; AEtna Mail in pharmacy. I am diabetic. I ordered my medication and Aetna's pharmacy sent all of it but one tablet to my house 90/20/07). They sent the other table to my sister's house in Louisiana(09/21/07). I have never gotten medicine at my sister's house, even when I was on vacation and tried to arrange it 2-3 years ago. I notified Aetha and they were very sorry, offered to get me a short term fill for a few days at the local Albertson's pharmacy. Fine. They then wanted my sister to mail the medicine to me here in texas. She works 2 jobs and is very busy, but she does not work for Aetna. I went to Albertson's pharmacy and they did not have medicine for me. Ok. Fine, I will wait for the medicine from Aetna. Only problem is it never came. Today is 10/25/07. It has been over a month later. They have blown up my answering machine - 2 to 4 calls daily. THe last call was Sunday. What did they want? They want to tell me that they have to wair 45 days for my medicine to show up and in the meantime I have to pay for another perscription while I wait for the medicine to show up. Err excuse me, did you mail more medicine to me? No, they did not. So how is the medicine supposed to show up and why do I have to pay for it again, when the mistake is clearly yours? It has been over 30 days that I have been without my medicine. I called and talked to a person who said they were a supervisor or lead technician. She started out saying they would send me medicine overnight. She called back within 10 minutes and said would it be acceptable if they sent UPS to my sister's house and we waited on her to return the medicine to them? No, it would not. In fact, I plan to start complaining to everyone who will listen to me. If you were going to do that, you have had 39 days to do it. Now I expect my medicine over night, which is what you should have done in the first place. This is my first serious issue with the Aetna mail in pharmacy which is in Florida, but it is so serious, and shows such a lack of regard for me and such severe uncaring that it drops their performance in my eyes. I have been in contact with my sister and they have done noting, not even a post card to her.

Summary
My complaint is with Aetna's mail order pharmacy. For EIGHT weeks I have been trying to get my prescription filled. I call at least once per week, usually three or four times per week, and each call is a minimum of 90 minutes. No one there is trained to do their job. I ask them to read the notes so I don't have to explain it again, and I'm told there are no notes to read. I ask over and over what does it take to get a prescription mailed to me and they are completely clueless. I've been told that it is my fault since I didn't answer the phone when they called that I'm not getting my prescription. My fault? What happened to the previous EIGHT WEEKS that it took you to open the mail and data entry that in to your "system". The damn "system" has replaced common sense. I HAVE A JOB and can't answer the phone for your EVERY TIME. Try getting anyone on the phone that comprehends the English language; this isn't outsourced to India either, these fine folks are in Florida. I can't believe Aetna is the preferred provider through my company's health plan. They just want to piss me off so much that I leave and go to someone other company. I never got this disservice with United Health Care and should have never changed.
