I HAVE NEVER HEARD OF THIS INS. PLEASE PROVIDE REASON TO PURCHASE

I have not been impressed with AIG. I do not receive annual reports nor letters concerning my policy. I have not heard from them since I signed the papers, yet money is still taken. I would like to cancel my policy and not conduct any more business affairs with AIG. It is very difficult to get in touch with them and the agent I signed with has changed jobs. I do not know my agent nor have I received anything from him. Everytime I call or email someone, no one seems to know what to say or how to help. It is very frustrating!!!!!

My company provides contracted security for U.S. Army base. I couldn't be happier with my company's choice of selecting AIG as it's insurance provider. Several times AIG has indeed shown it's motto "the strength to be there" as one that rings true. They have demonstrated vigorous defense of my company against former employees who have fabricated work related injuries, and have also marginalized recovery attempts against employees who have been legitimately injured at work, with equal enthusiasm. We have yet to see any of the cases actually make it to court, and most have been settled out of court with minimal loss of profit to my company. The tenacity and clever techniques displayed by AIG's recovery agents is top-notch and they are true representatives of Corporate interest.

I have had AIG for about 3 years and figured I had a pretty good service, I got into an auto accident back in December where I was hit from behind, in traffic, well I filed my claim and they were talkin about how they were gonna go after the girl that hit me, which they paid to get my car fixed but used my deductiable, well now I have just found out that my insurance is going up for an accident that I didn't even cause.... So I'm Switching to progressive there gonna give me a way cheaiper rate, and since my Accident I have not heard anything from AIG!!!! there service Sucks, I wouldn't recomend them besides that I had full coverage, but they didn't even add on there rental car service that was seperate.. and I though full coverage had everything added..

We have also had extremely negative experience in dealing with AIG. The driver who was insured by AIG decided to go straight from left turn only lane and hit my car. From the first telephone conversation with AIG agent, it was clear that AIG did not want to accept any responsibility. I was rudely advised that it might take more than one month to investigate and the AIG agent even refused to provide me with her e-mail address. After waiting for 5 weeks she finally fabricated her version of my accident and refused to provide any source of information that had been used for the basis of her controversial decision. In order to comply with CA insurance code, she fraudulantly sent me the back dated e-mail and told me that she had sent the same information by U.S. mail which I had never received. Try to avoid AIG and unfortunately there is no negative rating for them.

I have had an ongoing homeowners claim which AIG agrees is covered under my policy. Yet after nearly a year, having been evacuated from our home we still cant get them to pay for our dog's kennel bill!! Let alone the actual costs associated with our claim. We are into six figures with our attorney and still can't get them to pay what we are entitled too under teh policy they sold us..............no problem taking our money just paying covered claims they refuse to do!!

With respect to this insurance company's auto line and after reading the reviews below....I will pass on switching to them and stay with my present insurer for home and auto insurance, which is The Hartford. The reasons for choosing the ratings are as follows: Coverage....their quote was based exactly on the coverage I have with The Hartford. Cost....the charges annually would be $270 less than what I am paying now. Customer Service....the reviews indicate a very poor opinion of this company in that regard. Claims....the reviews indicate a very poor opinion of this company in that regard also, plus, as noted in the reviews, they don't pay claims, they are rude to customers, Dan Rather and CBS have exposed some of this company's underhanded tactics as well in documentary's, they don't allow the insured to have "straight from the factory made" parts to replace the damaged part, etc., etc. All of my comments are purely based on the reviews listed below on this webpage with regard to auto insurance and with no other info to go on I will obviously be staying with The Hartford at this time!!!!!!!

It is my association with AIG which made me feel confident of myself that I am protected under a healthy cover. They have been my personal insurance company and they are there in my business also covering my employees. The assurance for covering my business properties fills me with the strength to move forward in my business. Now I feel no wonder when they got the reward from the 2006 Forbes Global 2000 list as the world’s fourth largest insurance company. I am confident that their retirement policies will take care of my life after my career.
