Low price means poor service! Our damage was on Nov. 2007, we had to go through the other guys insurance to get anything done. Now in January 2008, we are hopeful we can have the damage repaired that was caused by the other guy. We received such poor service that we are moving our insurance to Progressive. Progressive handled our claim on the other parties insurance 100% better than the 21st insurance claims person. We will certainly tell everyone we work with, family and friends not to use 21st Century auto insurance. First, the 21st Century claims rep claimed against our insurance. The damage was not our fault. We were not going to pay the deductible. She never asked us how we wanted to handle the claim knowing the damage was not our fault. Secondly, she was so inadequate in contacting the other party to settle without claiming against their insurance that we ending up doing all the work. We had the auto body estimate, 21st Century estimate and the 3rd party insurance company, Progressive, perform an estimate. Three estimates are very time consuming for all. The 21st Century claims rep never shared the estimate with the other party's insurance. She provided no support except to give us the insurance company’s phone number for the other party. We did all the work. The claims rep at 21st was also never available. We always had to leave a message. She was untimely in returning our calls (works limited hours). We both work and she could never call at a time when we were available. Where's the customer service? No information was given by 21st Century to the third party insurance company, except my husband’s name and phone number. The 21st claims rep never explained how the process works. When the claim was finally turned over to the third party's insurance company (in January, 2008), when speaking to the third party's claims rep, she was most helpful in explaining how the process works and how we can proceed. We never received this information from the claims rep at 21st Century. She seemed uninterested and quite put out, refusing to give us any information or assistance. Very poor service! When we asked to speak to a manager, he said this is how they do business. We will take our business else where. Low price means poor service.

They may have good coverage at a decent cost, but my advice to you would be "stay away", choose another company. I was recently in an accident and the feelings I experienced was basically like Santa Cruz 11-21-07. I was the one hit by a SUV and slammed into the car infront of me but 21st Century made me feel like I was just a number and not a "policy owner". Several times I had to call my claim adjuster just to find out what was going on, he only called me back once. For about 80% of the time I felt like I had a big question mark on my forehead. So I called and complained. That was a joke. I couldn't believe their answers to their lack of perfessionalism.

After being basically ignored by the company by a Milpitas based agent, I had to go to small claims just to collect on a 21st Century policy owners damages incurred on my vehicle. 21st Century aids their polcy owners in a type of fault denial that merely ignores the claiment, denies any fault when their own estimator has even faxed a proven report, and leaves you feeling as though you've been the victem of a hit and run with a side aid. I had to go to small claims court just to collect the 1400.00 owed to me by their insured. A lot of taxpayer involvement that had the company acted responsibly, could have been avoided. Great way to spend the holidays, serving people and sitting in court. Beware of this company.

Summary
Prey to God that you better don't have any accident for life, this company stand on other side of their own policy holder. You can not expect get any help from them. They sentence their policy holder guilty even if you are not. They know they will get their money back from you so why hey bother to talk to you. Their claim department in Brea sucks. You better get out of this company while you still can.

21ST CENTURYS CUSTOMER SERVICE BY FAR IS THE WORST I HAVE EVER EXPERIENCED, AFTER SEVERAL ATTEMPT TO CONTACT CUSTOMER SERVICE I HAVE GIVEN UP. EVER SO EAGER TO TAKE YOUR MONEY VIA AUTOMATED PROCESSES, BUT NOT SO EAGER TO PROVIDE SERVICE. I CAN ONLY IMAGINE WHAT IT WOULD BE LIKE PROCESSING A CLAIM. IVE BEEN ON HOLD 31 MINUTES NOW AND I AM HANGING UP.

Summary
I've been tryign to reach a person at customer service for a question about my account and still can't get in touch with a person. I'd switch to a higher costing insurance just to be able to speak to a person or check my account on the internet.
